Default Shifting problems

Hey guys got a 2000 dodge ram van 1500 5.2L that’s about 450k miles. When i try to shift into gears such as reverse/drive it doesn’t shift i have to let it run about 5-10min then it will start shifting but with some struggling. Also when I start shifting there is a loud buzzing noise coming from the engine/front of the car that does not stop until i put it into park, sounds like a big bee on wheels. any way to fix this without changing tranny? Thanks

I'd get the transmission checked out by a shop. At 450k miles, it's way over due for a service since you dont mention the maintenance history.
