Default 2001 ram van 1500 ground strap location

my alternator for 2001 1500 ram van 3.9 needed to be replaced and the belt had broken off and sliced the ground strap in half, its still attached to the firewall near the alternator, but i do not know where the other end is attached to, does anybody know where it goes?

That strap attaches from the firewall to the front of -right side coil (ignition coil bracket) It's easy to see and to get at this nut that holds the ground strap and bracket on.

If you need a picture, I'll post one

Edit: Sorry, Just reread you have the 3.9, mine is 5.9 but I'd think would be the same setup

HI
mine is just like yours
It goes from the stud that holds the rubber tire like strap that supports the trans dipstick tube ( on the firewall) to the top of the alternator bracket. even with a picture it's hard to see.
hope this helps

Pull the air filter tube out of the way and it's pretty clear and easy to get to, if you have rear a/c there may be more lines and such in the way. Also in the pic, there's the new coil and wire I had to replace 3-4 days ago that had caused my no start problem
