Hello
I have a DODGE RAM Van 1500 with a 3.9 liter engine. Now I could get a DODGE DAKOTA engine from the year 2000 also 3.9 liters.

Since I still have not so much technical idea of the engines, I would like to know if these are identical.
That would have for me the advantage that I have thus a spare engine since mine has a small water problem.

Same engine. Oil pan will likely be different, but, easy swap.
