I am thinking that the big white wire near the alternator used to be attatched to this isolator, I agree with SteveR, pic 6 is a battery isolator, in these camper vans, there is usually a second battery hidden in the rear of the van, and its mainly for all your interior electrical needs, lights, water pump, plugs etc,,,,my van has the 5.2, with an isolator, if you have any other questions, please let me know,,,take care,,,

Thanks. Actually, they only go back to 1986 there. Any other resource that you know of? I'm looking specifically for the charging system and the firewall pass-through diagram. Thanks.

I assume it has wiring.

The Haynes Dodge van manual has the same wiring diagram in it as the factory 84 repair manual. Not very complicated.

You'll probably find another fuse box feeding the camper conversion circuits.

I am in need of new weather stripping all around for this beast. Seeing a lot of options out there... any recommendations on specific brands or vendors? Thanks.

I had a GMC version of your unit. I think the company changed names and I can't remember what it is now. (I think it's made by Coachmen.) As for the wiring, there wasn't much difference between 1984 and '86. In '88, there was a major change. You may have a small door on the drivers side for the house battery even if it's been removed. Instead of looking for van parts, look for Class B RV parts. That's what you have. Do you still have your blue, grey and black water tanks underneath? (drinking water, used wash water and poo.) Here's a note, make sure you measure how tall your unit is. Mine was 9'2. I put 9'6 over the windshield in case it got serviced so the mechanic didn't top it. Especially your roof a/c unit. Make sure your front end is in good shape with no worn parts like tie rod ends, ball joints and so on. These are really interesting in cross winds and scary as all get out with worn front end parts.
