new member - 97 dodge ram 1500
hey everybody, picked up a 97 dodge ram conversion van a couple of weeks ago. still getting started with cleaning up and getting ready for the road. one thing im having trouble finding is how to lower the van without having to cut things. ive got this small list of how one dude did it back in like 2014. really hoping to find some more info, get the right parts, the right strategy, and still have a functioning van that can haul two motorcycles in the back. if you got any ideas for what to do on this list, let me know
- rear shackles for c1500 Chevy truck (88-06 gm), needs to be cut
- dodge dakota spindles (not used- requires calipers and rotors)
- tires 235-60-15 and 275-60-15
- replace front upper control arms and tie rods.
- Bell tech lowering spring for a Chevy 454 and cut them a full coil (under-dampened)
- Monroe shocks
- replacing the lower control arm for a van LCA with the pocket
