My van picked up some serious windshield damage during our vacation last year so I need to deal with it. Who makes good windshields for our rigs? I don't want something cheap that has crazy optical problems so I am going to specify brands when I have it replaced.

Windshields have to meet strict standards, so, most any 'brand' will be decent. I just call my local glass shop, tell 'em what I got, and they come and change the windshield. Never had a problem with any of them.
I ended up getting the windshield replaced today and received a PGW. It does not have any weird optical effects unlike some windshields I have seen. There was much confusion as to what windshield to put in the van so the place ordered 3 different windshields for some reason...details for my 1991 B250 are: PGW SOLEX LAMINATED 7 12 8 DOT563 AS1 M852 2012 DW00760

They are never as clean as when they are new.
