I have my new strut rod bushings but have been on an extended road trip away from home and will wait to instal there in case I run into problems. Good luck. You go first (ha ha)

Ive done this job twice...here is what I remember
Loosen large strut rod nut
Jack van up - remove tire
Remove roll bar bushings
Looses the two bolts/nuts that connect the strut rod to the lower control arm
remove large strut rod bolt
remove front nuts/bolts
take rod out, take off old bushings and install the front one
replace strut rod...slide rear bushing on and tighten hand tight
Here you may need to use a jack or prybar to line up the lower control arm to the front nuts/bolts. It isn't that hard, just do it
tighten the fronts tight and the large rear tighter
install roll bar and tire...repeat for other side

YES you alignment is now toast. How bad it is now is how much you had to pry the lower control arm back into position.
DRIVE the van for 10-20 miles...sometimes youll think you have the large strut rod bolt tight, but it loosens after the first drive
Tighten strut rod nut if needed

take to alignment shop to complete the job - cheers!

Please do..

Also one more tip, my strut rod has three holes in it where it mounts to the lower control arm...take note what holes your rod is using presently and reinstall in the same holes.

Thanks will do.

So my 20011500 van has 150k on it. I was told I need to do these bushings. I did the shocks about 7 years ago but I'm doing them again next week. While im in there tinkering around, would you recommend I replace anything else in terms of the suspension?

I'm def not a mechanic but I get by doing things on my own here and there.

I am on set #2 of roll bar bushings. I do drive a little hard so there is that...LOL but if you have never replaced them...do...it helps handling greatly. You have to remove the whole thing anyway Any set is more than likely OK.

Thanks, I have noticed in the past year or so that my steering isnt what it used to be, very loose. Van is overall riding a little rough when going over bumps.
