Electrical !?
HiFolks,
New to the forum with an electrical question. I own an 1988 Dodge B350 camper van(Discovery) code W, 360 c.i. , 727 auto with 3.50 axle ratio. This rig has switches at all doors(4) and their all live (12v) but their are no lights in the interior that go on ??
The only overhead lamps, besides camper lights, are the double map lights with their own switches. Is this the norm?? Or am I missing something?? Thanks for all advise and help. Rick

Class B campers go to the camper conversion company as a bared van. There's a temporary drivers seat and that gets returned to the manufacturer for reuse. All the lights and stuff added to the camper part is separate from the factory wiring. It's been a while since I sold my class B but I think there was a separate panel for the interior lights as they run off the house battery.
Im not sure about an 88, but most cars have a wire from the door light switches that connects to the relay for the dome lights.
Now having a camper, this could all be out the window
But that relay is probably stuck
Can you light the dome lights by turning the headlight ****? (Just for a test)
Im my Elk Conversion, the dome lights are fed by a secondary fuse box in the rear. I believe the same relay is still used but it wired into the rear box. I have the wiring diagram somewhere, but all these vans after going to conversion, are wired differently when it comes to dome lights, map lights and other accessories like power bed seat.
The camping lights in my ceiling are just like yours - all with their own switch.
