Hello,

I have a 1994 Dodge B350 5.9 360 and I am trying to pull the ECM out, but the captive bolt in the middle of the wiring harness WILL NOT come free from the ECM itself. It is spinning, but apparently not releasing from the ECM. I have tried wedging it out with no luck and I am terrified to drill the thing out because I'd be drilling straight into my ECM. The plastic covering over the wiring harness is brittle and cracking with every attempt and I am just stumped as to how to get it out. I gave it a good old fashioned yank and that didn't do anything either. I am worried about damaging my wiring harness any further so if you have any recommendations on how to get that sucker out I'd appreciate it.

 

Unbolt the PCM from the firewall, and see if you can get at the nut from the back side. (don't know if that thing goes all the way thru though.)
