I can see how that'd be easier but getting the trans out from under the campervan would probably be a bigger headache.
Uploading a few pertinent FSM in case any others use this for future reference including bolt torque values etc. Peculiar that the 11.2mm length flexplate-to-TC mounting bolts on the rebuild trans are apparently designed for the 10.75" 4-lug converter, not the 10" on there which should be 13.2mm. I don't know what to make of that, other maybe than the MOPAR refab folks decided it was easier to just use the shorter bolts on all the rebuilds. Not sure if being 2mm short makes a difference. They only point out its problematic if they're too long.
