Default Any repair shops in SW Washington? 1999 B3500

I have a “new to me” 1999 RoadTrek RV B3500 with no forward gears. It’s at a shop in a small town but they really don’t want to deal with it. I only have reverse gear, so it could be a few different things to check. Location is 23 miles NE of Vancouver Washington.
it’s been there a week and a half without being looked at. I’m staying at my sisters place, since I still need to drive my prize home to Montana
I can tow it to Vancouver or Battle Ground to another shop, if someone has recommendations. Thank You!!

Unplug the 8 pin connector on the drivers side of the trans, about halfway back. It plugs straight down into the top of the bumpout for the valve body. See if it will go into gear. Bear in mind, it won't have ANY automatic function, nor will it have TCC, or O/D... You will have to shift it manually. So, start in first, and up/down shift as appropriate. If it works, then it's just the electronics. If it doesn't, it's rebuild time.

What is the current situation Chocobo? Did you do what HeyYou suggested? You can pretend you have a 3 on the tree manual. I used to love those.
