Default Ignition Fuse Blowing reset by unplugging harness HELP!

1992 dodge b250 318.
1. was driving at it just lost all power so I took to a shop he said ignition switch was melted so was fuse link so he installed new ignition switch and remounted the fuse link under the hood so if anything happened again no need to remove all the plastics on the column etc.

2. van drove fine maybe a week or so and then it blew the fuse under the hood.

3. I started to look for a dead short because as soon as another fuse was installed and key turned to the first location it blew immediately.

4.while looking for the dead short I noticed when I unplug 1 of 2 of the main harnesses under the hood it allowed me to put a new fuse in and it wouldn’t blow it for another week or so.

5. so this is where I am at now. I can start the van and drive but if I give it gas like taking off at a red light fast it will blow the fuse. The fuse will continue to blow until I manually unplug the gray or black harness under the hood and plug it back in. I want to add if I am in park and I rev the motor on the high end there’s a second of silence like the motor is shut off and turns back on. I don’t think that’s what happening but something happens when I rev the gas that causes a brief 2 seconds of silence sometimes it will return to running or it will blow the fuse when the gas is revved up. Hope that makes sense. It’s a window of 2 seconds at the high end of the rev where it goes quiet and seems it’s stalled. Thanks for any input.

also new fuel pump has already been installed and still the problem persists.
