I need advice
2000 Dodge Ram van 1500,,,, ok so several months ago the van died while I was driving it and long story short I realized that there w no pressure at the fuel rail so I cut a hole in the van floor and swapped out the pump, started and ran good for a couple weeks, now it’s doing the same thing, no pressure at rail…… intermittently…. That is one issue I need help with… I can’t seem to find a wiring diagram. Blhblah blah
second problem,, I have been getting this code that says someth8g like “engine too cold for too long” so I replaced my thermostat. After putting it back together now my reader tells me that my coolant temp is 230 and yet the radiator is cool, I started to remove the radiator cap and of course got sprayed with COLD fluid,,, upper radiator hose is pressurized. I replaced the radiator last year…..please any suggestions

Check your fuel pump relay. I had a truck that the previous owner replaced the pump and it kept dying for lack of fuel. I was at the back and heard a noise from the back. I wasn;t moving so the only thing to make noise was the fuel pump. I swapped the fuel pump relay with the a/c relay. They use the same relay. It cured the problem. I bought a new relay and put it in and swapped the a/c back.
The relay box cover should show which relay goes where. Several will be the same relay. You don't HAVE to have a/c to drive the van. You DO have to have a good pump relay to drive it. If it works, it was a cheap fix. If not, it didn't cost anything but a couple of minutes time.
