Ok so I have. 2000 Dodge Ram van 1500 with a 5.2 liter engine and I think I need to replace my PCM or ECM, one in the same,,, my question is does this need to be programmed to my specific vehicle? Can’t I simply swap it out for another and if so does anyone know if there are other dodge vehicles compatible with mine. I plan to hit the junk yard, any info would be greatly appreciated… thank you

 

Believe it needs to be programed and you are in CA so it will be different than the rest of the country.
