99 - 1500 conversion van 5.2 bucking and backfiring
180,000 miles
2 weeks ongoing issue: at idle the engine surges up and down to almost dyeing weather it's at initial startup or after the engine warms up. While driving it runs good until I get over 35mph and then starts bucking and backfiring. Giving it heavy gas or turning off overdrive helps a little. To give an example it feels like the timing is off or when you get water in the gas. Major loss of horsepower over 35mph.
Codes were reading bad 02 sensor so I replaced both of them. It's idling better but no difference while driving. I cleared the codes and drove 50 miles after replacing the oxygen sensors now the codes read multiple cylinder failures.
