Default COMPATBILITY AND PROCEEDURE QUESTIONS, Replacing tranny in my 89 B250

Swapping a 46Rh into my 89 B-van from a donor 93 B-van. Original A-500 was already swapped by P.O to a 92 42rh and OD/TCC never worked since i owned it. I would like to address that with this new swap. Choosing to beef it up a bit with the 46rh while i'm at it.

I've done my homework, understand about the shaft length and cross member mods, but I'm unclear about if the 93 46rh will control the OD\Lu since it seems like the 92 42rh did not. They both have 3 pin connectors, and the the original a-500 had od/lu. Is there anything inherent about the year difference that would prevent it from working? I've tested or replaced every component that is involved, VSS, temp sensors, solenoids, etc. I've been assuming that it didnt need manual or pressure switches since the SMEC controlled the od\lu on the original tranny. Am I wrong? Any other tips or things I'm missing? Is my choice of donor tranny good? How do I get the best result from this swap?

So far as I know, the PCM should control it just fine..... if it thinks there is a problem, it should set a code.....
