New guy. Can anyone help with an old van?
2001 Dodge Ram van 2500 5.2 extended cargo van. No bus codes 920, 921, and 999. I've chased this problem all over the net. Can't figure this out. I watched this video https://youtu.be/dzStfrWHtiA
on YouTube and many, more... I followed directions on this video and a few more for troubleshooting purposes and I think I tracked the problem back to the grayish connector on the left side. Pin number 30 and 28 have zero volts key turned in the on position. Does anyone know what it could be? It would seem as if there isn't a bunch of info on these old vans as far as forums and YouTube go. I not sure if this mans Dakota would be exactly the same as my van but the pcm and wires look the same. I'm not a mechanic but with a little guidance I can usually figure things out but this one's got me stumped. I also took apart the exterior fuse box by the battery and the wires on the bottom side of the fuses look fine.

Hi Howie.
Welcome to DF!
For wiring diagrams, have a look here. Yes, it's a Russian site, but, I've been using it for years, with no trouble.
Cluster codes are pretty much meaningless.
If you are getting "no bus" on the odometer, that just means that the cluster isn't getting info on the communications bus, so it has no idea what to do with any of the gauges. Unfortunately, that is a fun problem to track down... *Usually* it's just a sensor on the 5 volt bus taking the whole system down. Trouble is, almost ALL of the sensors use that 5v feed..... One possible way of tracking down which sensor, is unplugging them, one at a time, and see if the "no bus" goes away.
