Rear heater switch no longer working/1999 5.2 V8 Van
So Glaval threw a rear heater in the back of my van 20ish years ago, and up until a few months ago it was working brilliantly! It is my main Ac/heat as well to my knowledge and I can hear it still kick on if I switch to heat- I’m not too sure what to work for and would love any suggestions before I play swaptronics. Front heat/ ac works great.
Also super relevant- I accidentally left my lights on while I was at work and got jumped by a mechanic who works his second job at my building, and when I got jumped when I turned the van on the rear heater kicked on full blast- the switch was illuminated up top and didn’t turn off- the button would not turn it off. When I got home I disconnected my battery and it hasn’t let me turn on since (I have disconnected my battery many times since to change spark plugs etc, so not too sure how that plays into other than a possible relay or door held closed or open)
I build out the interior and framed in the old electrical to protect it from rattling around behind my cabinets, and It’d be a real loss to have to pull out my cabinets as I’m on the road at this point… just would love a working rear heater come winter!
