Default A/C dryer/ vent Temps.

97 dodge b3500.

I've been reading about proper AC charge since I'm getting not so cool air while stopped. Driving produces decently cold air. everything in my system is brand new.

I heard if there are bubbles / milky look in the ac dryer window, it indicates a low charge. Is this true? Should the stream you see in the window be clear as if the fluid was full with no bubbles? When I charged it last summer using a guage set and vacum pump, the guages read correctly according to the ambient temp and humidity so I assume I did it right. Should I fill it more until the screen shows a solid flow of liquid with no bubbles? If I can't figure it out I'll have to go to a shop and get it charged. Just seems like it should blow ice cold air Considering every component of the system is brand new. 🤔 what Temps should I be getting from the vent in a perfect case scenario?

Vent temp is pretty dependent on what the outside temp is.... As for the charge, I go by pressures vs. temp. There is a chart in the service manual, and generally on the cans for recharging the system you get from the parts store.

Another consideration would be the fan clutch. If it isn't up to snuff, it'll slip, and you won't get good airflow when stopped at idle either.

Yes and yes, it should be clear and no bubbles.
