Long story short, started towing with my 2000 b1500 5.2L. Worried about transmission so I ordered a tranny cooler. Didn't have time to install it myself so I took it to a friend of my dad's. The guy says he's going to bypass the radiator and just use the aftermarket cooler. We argue. Whatever.

Looking at my build sheet it says under Optional Equipment: "AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER".I didn't see a cooler external to the radiator. Is that referring to the one in the radiator?

 

Nope. Should be in front of the a/c condensor, down low. Should be plumbed in line with the radiator cooler.
