I’m in the process of trying to remove my broken water pump on a 1997 2500 v6 van and I’ve disconnnected everything to be able to remove the shroud but I’m afraid of messing with the AC lines. Part of them are metal and part of them are rubber but I can’t remove the shroud unless it looks like I take off the whole front end of the van.

halp.
I'm not sure if you are aware, but the shroud is 2-pieces, top and bottom halves. After removing the bolts joining them, I've simple rotated the top half of the shroud down the passenger side and get plenty of room to work. I might've also removed the ignition coil and belt tensioner for additional clearance; it's been a while so I might not be recalling it 100% correctly. If that doesn't work for you, remove the serpentine belt, then remove the electrical connector, the 4 bolts and rear bracket holding the AC compressor down. Now that it is loose, you can bring it forward to get the hoses out of your way.
