Default 1980 Dodge B100 Ram Van Engine Swap

I'm pleased to be a part or this forum, thx
I recently purchased a 1980 Dodge B100 van with a 225 slant 6, and a a833od 4 spd. Unfortunately it has a warped exhaust manifold but does run very well.
After searching a new manifold(very costly) and alot of work to replace, I'm now wonder if I can swap to a V8, like a 318. What kind of complication could I run into if any, and would it mate up to the standard transmission. Any info/ help/ suggestions would be great ! Thx

Don't know if the six and eights used the same bellhousing bolt pattern on those... so, no help there, but, have you considered getting something like a shorty header for it? Should be able to find on of those cheaper than the stock manifold.....

Even if the v8 mated up to the stock transmission I don't think the tranny would last a long time with the increased torque. Second the above comment on a header and if you think an exhaust manifold is alot of work on a slant six then you wouldn't want to attempt an engine swap.
