Default 2000 Ram Van Ignition

I've got a 2000 ram van that was given to me by my uncle, he had a transmission put in but in the mean time the shop/his buddy lost they key, there is something jammed into the tumbler and broken I'm assuming its the key but could be a screwdriver, its stuck in the off position and I cant get it to turn forward and videos online show a different ignition style & only show how to get it out with a key....looking online at tumblers for it but they don't come with a key.. what are my options? do the keys need to be programmed & cut thru the dealer? do I need to buy a whole new ignition or just a tumbler? not sure if its got RFID in it or not being its a 2000, also do these vans have a theft mode in the pcm which would require me to have someone clear the theft mode code? links to tumblers and photos attached. vin is 2B7JB21Y6YK116568 if anyone wants to run thru the decoder & see the options it has.

A locksmith could remove that broken off key (or whatever it is) and craft a new key by feeling out the tumblers. Junk yard "locksmiths" do it all the time, right on the spot in the parking lot.
Would be a lot cheaper and easier than trying to source and replace the existing tumbler assembly.
I don't believe an RFID immobilizer was an option on these, but I could be wrong.

I spoke with the dealer there isn't any programming needed, ordered a tumbler on amazon for $110 hopefully can get it going!

The problem you're going to have is, the tumbler has to be turned to the ON position, then the release button pressed in order to remove the old one. If you can't do that, then the old one will have to come out in small pieces.

Slide hammer is your friend. OF course, that method doesn't really leave the housing in a condition where it is usable any more.
