5.2L 1992 Van 360 engine ECM part number search confusion
Hello everyone, thanks for all the forum in here I've been able to solve many issues with my Van.
This thread couldn't find it so i open one for the first time
im currently having problems because van stop randomly and have to do little punches to the ECM conector and start again. I'm tired of the problem so im looking for another ECM, problem is not sure whats the part number, inside plastic there's one and inside main board is another.
To be honest other (also Newer) ECM looks the same but i want to be sure. Someone know if newer ECM can work on my Van? im sending some pictures of mine. You can see there's a P/N on plastic and another inside main circuit board.
PS: i love my van is the second i have, last one was 1989 318 engine.
Thanks in advance to anyone commenting.
I see them on Ebay, etc. Several companies also sell them, but, be REAL careful what company you buy from, check their reviews first. Some of 'em send parts that are worse than what you currently have.....
I believe that P/N is for the cover itself and not for the PCM.
There should be a white sticker on the outside of the case which has the PCM part number on it. Assuming the sticker hasn't fallen off or been removed due to a prior PCM reconditioning. Also, a 5.2L is a 318 and a 360 is a 5.9L, the subject line says it's a 5.2L 360 engine. So, which is the correct one?

Google search shows that number really is for a PCM.
