Default Code 37 fix? Tcc solenoid ?

Code 37 popping up on dash. Transmission having funky shifts in 3-4th sometimes will downshift for 4th -3rd

I'm aware this is a solenoid issue, but which one? Is it the governor pressure solenoid ? The one accessable after dropping the trans pan? Or is there a solenoid I'm missing? All help appreciated

That code 37 is for the torque converter lockup solenoid circuit. It could mean there is a break in the circuit, an open, or the solenoid itself is no good.

Default TCC solenoid repair

The solenoid is actually relatively easy to replace. The first time I had to change it it took a couple of hours but the second time when I knew what I was doing it took 30 minutes.

drop the pan, the parking rod, valve body, and then replace the plug, fill the fluid, and put it all back. Just don’t forget to accumulator in the fluid when you drain it if you don’t have a drain plug. Made that mistake and almost ruined my transmission.

the code is PO740 on the check engine for my 97
