So I'm trying re install igntion switch on 86 b350 on bottom of column.Probelm I have is with rod hooked in I can not bolt switch back on holes will not line up.

I have put the igntion in accerory on column and only thing i didn't do was lower column since enough room under dash.

 

What if you rotate the key? Doing so should move the rod and switch so the mounting hole can line up.
