Default Transmission Flush

2001 DRV 3500 5.9L

If you had a new transmission put in 15K (mostly highway) miles ago would you get the transmission fluid flushed for " regular maintenance" just because that was 5 years back?

The tranny works fine, the fluid looks good and I only need to get about another 20K miles out of the van.

I read about dangers of both not flushing after 5 years and flushing at all.

thanks.

No. I would NEVER flush a trans. Low mileage doesn't need it, and high mileage runs the risk of killing the trans.... (it's all the gunk in the fluid keeping it working.) Do a fluid/filter change every 30K miles or so, and that's it.
