Default Hughes intake 5409

Hello all, 2001 B1500 van 318. I am getting ready to install a Jasper reman eng and was thing about changing the intake to the HUG 5409 intake. Does anyone have that installed and or thoughts about it?

It's a better design, but, moves the powerband up a bit. Won't give you much of a power bump, and it'll be in the upper RPM range. For the money, it just isn't worth it in my opinion.

if i had stupid money Id try one...wow it is a old skool 4 bbl intake with a throttle body and injector holes

And they have gotten more expensive of late. Not so very long ago, you could get 'em for around 600 dollars.... (and change) Now, over 1000?? Really? For an intake????? I really don't think so.
