Hey sps yea im up on the gear swap thing and ive thought about a dana from a 3/4 to to help but honestly I like the 4.10 ratio as its a tank but yes down the interstate its a screamer im thinkinh 3600-4000 rpm all the way home on my trip. Ive had two prior camper vans both v dubs and thier way over rated one was air cooled one watercooled.....dam slugs and twice the mpg dont make up for 35 mph on hills.

I was passing everyone in the rockies on my way home and id like to find a time era small camper to turn into a living, party room so I gots to keep the 4:10 gears. Pluse its cool to sit a do a posi sliding smoke shot in a one ton van.

Its got the opt 36 gallon fuel tank in the rear and its a great hill climber, ive considered findoing a 4x4 chassis to do a swap but they want like 4 k for a pos one and im not that well off at the moment.

Im sitting on a small block six pack set up off my wrecked aar cuda and so badly want to cam and converter out my one ton since its all in the open to do right now......I just got a set of headers from ebay for 50 bucks in the box but have decided tonot use them yet so if someone needs headers I will have a set in a week or so to resell.

The thought of some good 3 inch pipes and flow masters on my van dam near gives me a .........but Im faithful to the stock theme....but they want 90 bucks for y pipe and mines in good shape but the org and id like to do it now...the rest of the exhaust is org and in great shape.......however ive thought about the headers and comming off the collectors use a 3inch pipe 2 into one like a big y pipe and a single 3 inch exhaust through one flow master to keep it in the single exhaust theme.....I think it would rock with headers and a single 3 inch flowmaster exhaust system.

But if I do that id do the rv cam and I got my stock oem cam from ebay for 5 bucks plus 12 shipping....so whats a guy to do.

Oh and for the ones wanting to pull thier engine...its a breeze, I was very spooked but I simply removed the front of the van and the heads and used a long 2x4 on a small stand I built between my seats and lifted it with on hand and slide the short block on the chain down the 2x4 right on out...by myself. But on install im gonna have a friend help as not to mess up my new short block paint. Ive never been too up on chrysler blue so opted for the cry indrustial red and its the new ceramic paint and paint and flows well and should really look nice after it gets hot a few times and bakes on......

I looked at your pic in the gallery, nice van. It's very similar to my parents old '76 they had. Good luck on finding your bolt. I was lucky when I did my engine swap that i had the other vehicle there to steal from.

Default 77' Dodge Van B200

I have one too with a 400BB and a sliding door on the side with one big door in the back it's really cool !! I'm thinking of doing a restore on it it has some rust in the nomal spots and I'm having a time finding parts for it. I found some of the body panels I need ...but some of the gauges and electronics are very hard to find and some of the shift parts are near impossisble to find i has a 727 trans and a 12 bolt Dana rear . When I bought it it was done up like a hippe van of the 70's with wood paneling on the inside ...I use it to move my band equipment around but would like to make a cool 70's retro custom van. anybody got some Ideas where I can get some of my parts.
