Engine ID
Hello everyone,
I just bought a 1994 b250 3/4 ton van last week. The dude I bought it from says it has the 360 engine, but according to
the VIN number, it has the 318.
I had a 1975 Sportsman with a 318, and the engine in this b250 looks nothing like the engine in the 1975.
How can I identify the engine in this van?
I need to know, because it occasionally won't start ( Engine turns over, but no check engine light, and no spark)
and I may have to replace the ECM, and since I'm kind of dumb, there may be a difference in the ECM's.
Additionally, the ECM has the numbers 8264 in big letters, and 8283/ 9:50 in smaller numbers stamped on a
tag. What is the part number?? AND where might I find one??
Thanks for any help you might provide.

Not sure what engine you have. Maybe it was a replacement. Usually, there should be some marking on the block or manifolds.
