Default Check engine code, "open circuit in fuel injector, #2 cylinder"

Could someone tell me what may be causing this code? They tell me the injector is firing 8x what it should be. Is this electronic, or electrical?? It's making it run rough, and using too much fuel. I had this code for about a day, about a month ago, It went away. Now it's back. It's a 98 RamVan 1500. 5.9L.

Could be bad wiring...or a faulty injector. The easiest way to check and see if it's the injector is to switch the suspected injector with one that isn't setting a code and see if the code jumps to the cylinder that the suspected injector is now installed on. If it does, replace the injector. If not, it's time to start checking the wiring.
