4x4 conversion?
Have any of you heard of, or seen a Dodge Ram B2500 converted over to 4x4? I know there is many ford vans running around with a conversion like that, but I havent seen a van done up that way. Reason I ask is that I have a Dana60 and Dana80 axle set out of a 2000 Dodge Ram, and was wonder how hard it would be to install them under the van. Rear obviously is easy, weld on wider spring perches and I am done. The front, well, thats going to take some work, bit I think its doable. If any of you have any insite on this, let me know. I not doing this to lift it a crazy hieght and crap like that (thats what the trucks for) but if I did have to lift it 2 inches, thats fine by me. I live in MN and hate not having 4x4 in the winter.

RE: 4x4 conversion?
The 4x4 conversion sounds very interesting to me also. I have seen old ambulances with 4wheel drive but only in pictures, they were mid 80s models and thats about all I can tell you. I would also like 4wheel drive on my 1988 150 short window van as I am building it for camping. I think a 1978/1979 Ford Bronco front axle would work as they are very stout and have radius arms and a track/panhard bar. They were also a coil sprung axle! Only problem would be Left side input pinion, would need Tcase from a 1994up Dodge. If I can find anymore info on the 80's ambulance packages I'll let you know.
I got mine for $200 Canadian. It runs/drives excellent but needs body work and tires. Always wanted a short van.
