Are you still getting the "sparks"?

Check for a live loose or unshielded wire under the vehicle body around the tranny. It may be grounding out.

How's the engine coil? It can be checked with an Ohm meter or at Autozone or PepBoys for free.

 

I didnt check it out but when I get home on friday I will take a look. I am old school and didn't know there was any live wires going that way except for the back lights. I will let you know. As far as the engine coil, I didn't even look at it yet. All my griping, I should have investd the time into some troubleshooting. I guess, it's because the van is only 5 years old, I was assuming I was in good shape.
