I have done dozens of searches, and nothing...so here ismy question... Is there an overdrive automatic tranny that will bolt up to my 3.9 V6 in my 2000 Ram van? I saw one post talking about a 5spd autofrom a 4.7 which stated that the bell housing of a 3.9 and a 5.2 were the same... is this true?

I see so many posts about bad gas mileage, but nothing about putting an overdrive transmission in a V6 powered Van/Truck. A fourth gear would help my MPG quite a bit I would guess..Anyone ever heard of someone doing this?
