I love the tent...didn't do much tenting before, but with this, it actually MAKES you go camping more and it is a blast!

both truck in pic to the left are used as daily drivers to and from work, the yoda on the right is my round town runner and small load grabber. and if my family needs a truck it's there for them to use. The Ram is my big boy toy, and for those times when the load is a bit much for the yoda.

speaking of loading down, you might not believe it but I have had a complete do-it-your-self shed from home depot and the foundation kit in the bed of my yoda. I also had enough lumber in the bed earlier on that I 'slightly' bent the leaf springs. the lumber was even with the top of the bed and I even had 6 12" 4x4's. anything over 40mph and my front tires were off the ground. If the engine wasnt aluminum I might have been able to go faster at the expense of my clutch, even slow acceleration in 2nd and I was slipping

after a while I'm gunna see what my ram will do and try to see at what point the clutch will slip. since it's a diesel, I'm thinking the better part of 18,000. anyone else wanna place some bets???[sm=smiley8.gif]

We used to have ~50 milking cows, but auctioned them off about 18 months ago, due to a new highway coming through and taking ~35% of our land. We found it was a good time to release the burden of a dairy farm. We do still have a few heifers that we inseminate and then raise the calves. We've always been primarily a cash crop farm... about 1500 acres now, mostly corn, some soybean and oats. The family is trying to find another farm to buy in a different part of the state to get away from high taxes of the current city that is overwhelmingly creeping up on the "town" line. It's a bit disappointing - my great-great-grandfather founded the bank and funded half the local government facilities in the mid-1800's... now 5 generations later, they're running the highway through our original family property - the ONLY working farm in a 2mile radius... and they blew right through the middle of us. They could have saved $3million by avoiding having to build 2 extra bridges going on either side of our farm. But that would be too logical. It sucks, but we're moving on...

Use mine to haul around my ATV's, and to Play. Had to use mine to haul two Motorcycles, Three Sport Quads, and Camping gear because nobody that I ride with had a truck that could handle all that plus the 2000lb trailer.

I'm sorry about you having to Let go of your Dairy herd
I hope that you have good luck in finding a new farm... Don't look at it as an end
try to look at it as a new start.... (We have moved our herd 3 times before we got to were we are now and that was a nightmare every time)I know its hard because of the history you have got there, But it also makes ya wonder what happend to peoples right to own property

We have about 75 (about 46 milking head)head of dairy animals total
( including cavles & Breeding age Heifers)of Grade & Reg. Jerseys & Holsteins
and about 140 ac. we'er small we only have 12 ac in Corn we do alot of grazing...
