iceman - That seems pretty good to me. You should go to http://www.edmunds.com and check into dealer cost vs msrp. Keep in mind, there is around $600 in advertising and mailing costs not factored in at sites like Edmunds. Also, there is a dealer hold-back, that most dealers won't discuss. That usually runs about 3% of the msrp. They do have to make some profit, but the more info you have, the better you can negotiate. Good luck.

Are you looking at an '03 or an '04? The dealers should have more room to negotiate on an '03 because of bigger rebates and end-of-year pricing help from Dodge.

Its an 04,,just came back from the dealer. the choices are. the slt with custom leather (not factoryleather) and the wood grane look with all the options that a larime has or just get the larime and have them put those 2 above options in put that will cost a little more.

Current rebates at $3000 for a 2004 and $5000 for a 2003.

Right now until Dec 31st, you can get EP ( Employee Price ) plan if you know someone who works for DCX. They have to give you a control number. This gives you the truck at 3% under dealer invoice. I am NOT talking about the friends and family discount either, that one is 1% over invoice plus $300 I think.

Also, there was a $300 rebate available if you owned your own business. Not real sure if that one's still available.

Another $500 rebate if you are retired or active Millitary.

I know this because I am goin in tomarrow to pick myself up a 2004 Ram 1500 hemi. Sticker was$24,175 and it's costing me $18,055 with a friend giving me a control number for the EP plan.
