Default How do you get the switch wires and switch inside the cab?

I bought some driving lights and am at a loss on how to get the switch wires into the cab through the firewall. One suggestion was to run the wire through the door jam but that looks tacky and worry about a wire shorting out. Any Ideas? Thanks, Mark

I ran it through a spot where there is a little rubber insert, slid it right through it. It was on the driver side. I am guessing you have a 3rd gen, I do.

I agree, all gen rams (actually every vehicle) have holes in the firewall for wires to get run through. Just look behind the dash for wires running throught the firewall and run them through there.

Check behind the driver side inner fender. Mine has a wiring harness there that runs into the cab.

As youre facing the firewall looking into the engine bay, just below and to the right of where the steering shaft goes thru the firewall, there is a cable running through a black rubber boot thing. I took a piece of sharpened coat hanger and poked it through from inside the cab out. Then I pushed my trailer brake wire through the hole into the cab. You can wrap your wires alongside the cable right on up under your dash. Mine is an '06 Mega cab by the way.
