Walmart has both the 9007ST and 9006ST, $37 for each pair. Here is a $5 rebate per pair.

They also make SilverStar parking/turn lights (at least for an '03 Ram 1500). Check part number 3157A/4157AST. I just got all threeinthis week - headlights (9007ST), fog lights (9006ST), and the parking/turn lights, and I hope I'll get them installed this weekend.

Both the SilverStar headlights and fog/driving lights are very
good. The '04 Ram's stock headlights are very bright and very
white as it is, but the SilverStar bulbs bring the color temperature
very close to pure daylight without that silly-looking bluish tint you
see on some cars. The SilverStar bulbs are probably brighter than
stock, but again, not by a whole heckuva lot.
If you get the headlamps, though, I would definitely get the
fog/driving lamps too. They're a cinch to install and give you a
cohesive light bath in front of the truck. I ran with a mix for a
day (I live in the frozen tundra too and didn't have a Torx T30 long
enough to reach the third screw), and it made the non-SilverStar bulbs
look orange/yellow.
A related question for anyone reading this thread. As you know,
to install the driver's side headlamp, you have to pull the entire
headlight assembly off the truck. Now that I've got both sides
installed, the low beam light pattern across the front of the truck
seems to dip a couple inches on the driver's side. On high beams,
they're pretty much the same height all the way across.
Is this by design, to avoid blinding oncoming traffic? I didn't
have the presence of mind to remember the light pattern before I
dismantled the front of my truck. Now I don't know if I may have
reinstalled the driver's side headlight assembly croocked, or if that's
the way it's designed.

I got all three (headlights, fog lights, and park/turn lights) in this weekend.

The headlights turned out to be not a whole lot brighter, but definitely a whole lot whiter. They also seem to throw a larger pattern out -- they catch more road and a bit more side-to-side than stock, at the same adjustments. My wife and father-in-law both noticed the difference and thought they were better.

The fog lights aresignificantly brighter and also whiter than stock. This was a dramatic change -- the fog lights in normal night time driving now completely light up the road for about 10-15 feet in front of the truck. Very cool.

The park/turn lights didn't have a lot of affect. When on or flashing, they are a brighter amber color. The bulb color is blue when they are off, but you can't see the bulb in a stock headlight assembly because of the reflector over the front of it.

All in all, I'm really pleased with the SilverStars. They are not so obnoxious that on-coming cars will get pissed. But they are more noticeable in traffic -- the pure white light stands out among the duller yellow lights, and they light up the road better with whiter light. As I said, the fog lights are dramatic in the difference, the headlights a definite improvement, and the park/turn lights cool, but not dramatic. Overall, a big

I wish I had pictures, but my camera (or maybemy photo skills)were not good enough to take night time pictures of the lights -- the pictures were alltoo washed out and just looked like getting a flash in your face.

Dave Dugal.... I have to disagree. (Not about the weather) I noticed the first time I drove my Ram at night that the headlights weren't nearly bright enough. Granted, I'm turnin' 50 this year....Grrr..... but they were much dimmer and "muddier"than my 10 year old stock Toyota p/u lights.

That's why I installed the PIAA Extreme White foglights, and they're great! But I'll probably replace the rest of the bulbs on my truckas well, with either Silverstars or PIAA's.... Good info in this thread, thanks, Tim

What did you pay for the PIAA's, if you don't mind me asking. The silverstars were 35.00 for a pair of 9007's. I got them from Walmart

Don't mind at all Vader...... I had the foglightsinstalled at a local 4x4 specialty shop for $250. ThePIAA kitwas about $160 and they had to manufacture a bracket and do the "no drill" install so I felt pretty good about it since the local Dodge dealer wanted $450 toinstallthe factory fogs (which meant replacing the headlight switch to a pull-out).... Plus, they're installedindependent of the headlight switch so I can have brights and fogs on at the same time.... I like it!!
