Has anyone heard anything about the 360 heads failing around 80,000

miles? I think the years are from 2000 - 2003.

My machinist said he has seen several pairs fail.

Before purchasing my Ram, I did some research and did not read anything on heads failing. I am wondering if the Machinist you know is working on 360's that were used for work or asa daily driver. Anyway, 80,000 miles on an 02 or 03 is pretty high. Maybe you can ask him the circumstances under which these heads failed. Did they crack or warp. Thanks

Hi Robert.

I have an '01 Durango 5.9 R/T with about half that many miles and
haven't had any issues ... so far. As Vader said, 80k miles in
just a couple years is pretty heavy usage. If you have any more
details, I think several people would be curious.
