Default Pulling problem in suspension

To make a really long story short....Last month I started fixing up a buddy's 2000 Ram 1500 1/2ton 5.9 with a 3inch lift kit in it. The lift kit is a chevy though not dodge. This past weekend I went over his suspension system....I replaced front and rear shocks, stabilizer bar assemblies and bushings, inner and outer tie rods, trani pan gasket and filter...The ball joints are fairly new so no need to replace those. I took it down and got an alignment done and now it pulls even worse to the right than before. Any ideas? I'm out. I build cars not lifted trucks. hahaha.

I have a 2000 Ram Sport that has pulled hard right from day 1. I have had it alighned several times and all say it`s good and within specs.Ive repaced rotors, pads, and wheels bearings. Since I put 20`s on it it pulls even more. So if you or someone else knows or finds out I would be very interested also.

I assume that since it was a 3" lift, that it's a suspension lift and not the body. I also assume that the frame is undamaged. Did you have a 4-wheel alignment performed or simply the standard front? If not, you'll need to. Chances are you've gotten the rear-end out of alignment. I'll bet if you look at your truck going down the road, you'll see it "crabbing".

If you did have a 4-wheel alignment performed, go to another shop.

aight, my and my buddy put a 5inch lift on his 1999 dodge ram 1500 with a 5.9L, and his did the same thing. We finally had to put new sway bars, tie rod ends, sterring stabilizer and then go get it algined, now it doesnt do it.

I did do the inner and outter tie rods, sway bar assemly's and the bushings to go with the sway bar....along with the shocks. All the ball joints are fairly good and less than a year old. The center bar (for steering) looked fine... I'm thinking I need to start going heavy duty... But I would rather diagnose than just change parts til I get it right, changing parts out doesn't make me a mechanic, it's diagnosing the problems.

It's not relavent if it's a 2 or 4 wheel drive. A 4 wheel alingment just means all four are done. I agree with what crcarch said. Don't forget what he also mentioned about your frame.

Ok. I will get a 4-wheel alignment. The Frame is also in perfect condition. I went through it for him last weekend. I have put 30 hours of labor into this truck and he has put $600 at least in parts. Good thing I don't charge my best friends labor. hahaha. thank you Very much appreciated, all of those who have helped with responses.

The lift kit I am installing says it is imperative to get an alignment done prior to lifting the truck. Should I get a 4 wheel alignment or just the front end? It is a 4X4.

With all the problems I am having with this lifted truck. I would definitely get a 4 wheel done.
