So, is there a quick way to check if your truck is set up and wiredfor factory keyless entry?
I recently bought a 1997 Dodge Ram Laramie SLT and I'm the fourth owner. The previous owner didn't have any keyless entry fobs and didn'tget any from the second owner. He couldn't remember if he asked if they had any.
So is there something you can look for to tell if it'sset upor not?

You need to look under the dash... on the right hand side of the steering wheel. You should see a little black box back there... if there are two sets of plugs coming out of that box, you should be able to get a key FOB programmed. If there is only one connector - then you are SOL like me. [8D]
I ended up putting in an alarm that had the keyless entry feature - life is much better now.![Big Grin](https://dodgeforum.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Does it have an overhead info center? If it does, see if there is a red LED poking out the bottom. That will be the VTSS indicator and tell you if it has keyless entry or not.If no overhead then no keyless.Hope that helps.
