Yes, I have searched to no avail.

I will be tkaing delivery of a 2008 Ram 1500 Reg cab,SWBsoon. A friend has a soft tonneau in her pole barn that was bought for her husband's 1996 Ram 1500reg cab, SWBbut never used. I will be trying it on for size in person when my truck arrives, but thought I would ask here in the meantime to see if anyone had the answer.

WILL IT FIT??

I have done some searching to find the dimensions of the truck, but I am not all that good with the internet search. Besides, there are a lot of sites that pop up and I really don't have that kind of time and can not seem to narrow the search properly.

Not sure if it will or not. My guess is NOT. The bed rail dimensions ,width ,are a bit different. I believe there might be slight difference in the total size of the box also.

Something you might do is find a maker and see what years theirs fit. Most all manufactures will be the same.

Pretty sure it won't fit.
The '02-up short box is 2" shorter & has a curved front rail.

I hang out with a bunch of Jeep nuts that just love to make things fit.

But, I will have a source ready to order from anyway.
