I only want to know about the mileage people are getting with the Hemi in the 2500 Quad Cab. Please indicate city and highway mileage.I'm asking about mileagebecause 9 out of 10 people posting replies talk about their mileage with the 1500. Although the engines are the same, the weight of the trucks are different. The 2500 I might purchase will have 3.73.

I own a 2002 F-150 supercab with a 5.4. Torque is also an issue. I know the Hemi pumps out 375 lbs of torque at over 4000 rpm. What about low-end torque? Ford claims the new 5.4 pumps out 80% of it torque at 1500 rpm or so. Can anyone comment on the low-end torque of the Dodge. I don't want to purchase a truck that I have to wind up to 4000 rpm to make it pull.

I thought Dodge owners would know about low-end torque and mileage for the 2500 with the hemi and 3.73 rear-end.

I don't mean to be critical, but I would hope someone on this forum could answer my ealier post about mileage and low-end torque for a 2500 with the hemi. Can the Dodge hemi compete with the F-150's new 5.4 low-end torque? I would love see some real numbers!!!!!

Gee whiz, it's 10 degrees below zero outside, my water pipes are bursting because the furnace quit working at 7:00 this morning, the dog got loose during all the excitement, my daughter came home after an all nighter at 9:00 this morning, my son told me while we were trying to find the dog, that his girlfriend is pregnant, the wife is complaining that she's hungry but doesn't want to cook, and you have the nerve to double post! I can't take it any more.

Actually, I need to clean the poop out of my pants I'm always concerned about low-end torque. Companies continue to pump more horsepower and torque out of these engines which amounts to purchasing an engine that only performs at a high RPM. I've pulled with a Chevy that had the 6.0 gas engine (It only pulls when the engine is ready to explode).
