Default Cold outside - warm up times

How long do you typically let your truck warmup? ... given the temp. is < 30 degrees

Recently the weather has turn cold, so I'll typically let the truck warm up for 30-60 seconds before I start driving, and am sure to atleast wait a few mins of normal driving before getting on the HWY...RPMs > 3K.

Also I've noticed when first putting the truck into "D" it seems really loud, and REVS w/o enguaging the transmition. Has anyone else experinced this ?

RAM 1500 Hemi

Thanks in advance

i turn the key, and put it in gear...it stalls...i do this usually 3 or 4 times, until itll stay running long enough to get moving, and out of the driveway...

one of the many splendors of driving a carburated, 21yo truck...

A tech at my dealer acutally said the truck uses more gas sitting their idling, then it does being driven. So think about that when you let the truck warm up for 20 min.

That tech needs his head examined.!!!! Anyway I have noticed lately that my truck takes forever to warm up. I let it run in the drive and drove a few miles before it heated up the other day. Im gettin remote start.
