Default Emissions Light

Hi all. I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can give me some insight on a current issue. I'm the proud new owner of a 2002 Dodge Ram quadcab with a 4.7L engine. The other day, I replaced the factory Champion spark plugs with a set of Bosch Platinum +4 plugs. While driving home from the shop, my emission system/engine control system fault light came on and remains on. I spoke with the dealer about checking it out, but they want me to replace the Bosch plugs with Champions prior to them checking things out. They say the Bosch plugs cause heat dissipation problems and don't recommend their use. Anyone experienced this problem before? I'd appreciate any insight.

Thanks,

Ethan, I had this problem once before but not with a Ram. My wires were not reconnected properly. Just make sure plugs are in snug and wires snap back into place. After that take the negative off the battery for a few minutes to reset the ECU. The light should go out, you will know its fixed if light stays off.
