hey what kind of mileage is everyone averaging with their 5.7 Hemi.... Mine is like 11-12 around town, does that sound right?

I've heard lots of people getting lousy milage but I'm averaging 13.8 in town with your typical stop-and-go traffic. On the highway, it's 21-23 mpg if I keep it below 70. It drops to 18 at 75 and 16.5 at 80.
Use your computer milage indicator and your cruise to figure out what milage you get at different speeds. Thats how I found the sweet spot of 68 mph.

Your mileage is a direct reflection of your driving habits. I have a 04 4X4 QC and average nearly 14 mpg when I drive. When my wife/son drives the truck mileage is in the 10-11 range. On the highway my best is 19.2 cruising at 70. My best towing (5,000 Deckboat) is 13 mpg towing at 60 mph. When I tow at 70 plus my mileage drops to 10 mpg. I hope you enjoy your truck as much as I've enjoyed mine so far....
MY Hemi ran about 12-14 miles in city and gained about 2mpg once I threw away the Hemi Air intake box inside and added a new motovator throttle spacer to the intake and also an Airaid Cold Air Intake system....added approximately 25 more horspower all together, sound is more throaty and nice and the additional mileage is a plus in the long run....not to mention going a bit faster and stronger
Highway MPG was always around 18 and still is....if I wanted more I would go buy a hybrid or rice burner, but not throwing away a pure american muslce truck like the RAM where we LIKE to drink gas and feel the power
I recommend the changes to any Dodge RAM 1500 system.

I'm with MikeGonzo on this one. I picked up a few mpg's after I added the cold air intake. I get ~13 around town and 16 on the highway doing ~80 up and down hills on the drive from Las Vegas to LA.

I've got a 2003 Quad SLT with the 4x4 package and tow and I have averaged 14.8 mpg over the the last 20 months and 48,000 miles. I agree with drtelco in that it depends on who's driving. Use the cruise control when you can and enjoy the power at other times. I challanged my 16 year to try keep the MPG display as high as me (as in a contest). That worked well - he lays off the gas.
