Nope, never heard of the problem. dd564, why'd you buy a nissan? You get way better quality and looks with the dodge hemi. Not tomeantion the 8 second to 6.8 second 1/4 mile times too.

Is your truck pre '02? If so it is notorious for a crappy parking brake. A cable adjustment is needed, drivers side near the gas tank. Have someone apply the p/b as you watch the cable. Self explainatory repair or a $12 chiltons repair manual should detail it for ya. If it is after '02 you probably have contaminated rear pads.

I hadDodge's all my life, and for aCrew Cab, Car and Driver shows better 1/4 mile times for the Titan. Same with0- 30, 0-60, and 0 to 1000 times.

I actually like the look and ride of the Titan. Great for my wife and kid too. More cab room as well. Just a personal preference. I'm hoping gas mileage is better than what I'm reading for the Dodge's.

You might need to take a look at your rear brakes.Check the rear drums and see how the pads look and if there is a lot of play or not. If you have plenty of pads left and the drums are easy to get off, they probably need adjusting. It's not that hard, but if you can't or don't know how, then the local brake, tire shop, or one of your buddies can help you.

By the way, my parking brakes work fine!

Dodge has been building trucks for a long time and you see quite a few on the road today after many winters of hard running. I haven't seen too many Nissan trucksfrom the 80's or 90's not rusting out in Maryland.

I'm always willing to pull one to the recycler's yard.
