Can you believe Chevy beat out the RAM for sales???? I though Chevy had a hard year in sales for their trucks because they are so damn ugly.

1. F-150
2. Chevy
3. RAM
Definately brand loyalty from those redneck Ford owners. Plus they're fairly cheap compared to the Ram. The Ram also has the gas problem with the Hemi, getting like 12 Mpg, and even 8.75 Mpg I remember from what a guy had posted before. [&:]

this post is interesting, I did some research with some friends, one in a BIG ford dealership, and the other is a brother of a HUGE construction co., and this is what was said to me... first Ford has huge incentives for volume buys (fleet sales), and they sell them basic, stripped, so the market is there for the basic trucks, plus their incentive programs for these sales are amazing.....the dealer friend says ford sells more trucks in fleet sales than any other truck on the market because of this dealing... and their sales are"HUGE", he says he sells more than he can estimate, at this time, to me......
The brother says they buy 25 to 30 fords every 4 years, all stripped and basic and at such a price that dodge cant even come close, and shows no interest in doing so....and the irony is that he JUST bot a dodge HD, QC, cummins, with 4wd and duallys....He loves it and its his 3rd one hes had....sooooo, let the ford and chevys do their thing and sell all they want, I know what I have is the best IMO, and thats all that counts..........................

Just a bit of info for ya all.....seee yaaaaaaaaaaa..........GUIDO

this guy's a ford driver, and YES this IS a shark....by dodge, lol...

Ford and Chevy may sell more fleet trucks but it is common sense, they have more dealerships and sell more cars so they can afford and have the inventory to sell trucks to fleets. Also after just checking up on the rebates of the Ford's and Dodge's the Dodge has a 3500 rebate while the Ford has a 3000 dollar rebate so it seems that Dodge could use some sales. Ram sales are down 13 percent this year!

Bronco I concur with what you say but remember, FMC gives big, mfg rebates on volume buys, and I mean big.... they have always done that and when they have a volume buy the main office gets involved.... on individual trucks they are close, but with numbers comes savings from the Mfgr's.....
A simple example, I bought 4 dakota's in 88 for my co., and looked at a ford fleet sales for a deal, and they cut the price real well, BUT dodge did much less on a deal..... I still bought the dodges, just liked them better...but they did cost more.

anyway, still like dodge more.... IMO

As an auto mechanic it is not so bad for me that sales on other trucks are up because if we all drove dodge trucks i might have to find a new trade .
Dodges don't break down as much as the rest of em.

Dodge is the fastest growing, even more than Toyo or Nissan.

I'm starting to like it in a way minus the optional front chrome bar. It'll never be as good looking like the one's out now though.

that's really weird b/c when the safety ratings came out a few months back, they said that chevy & then ford had the worst rating for their trucks of this year. dodge was number one for safety on all rams & dakotas. i not only buy for looks, but for safety for my kids.
