Default 2006 2500 Ram Mega Cab - how big is it?

The 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab, with new engine and tranny sounds great......but will it fit in the garage; i.e. 225" to 227" long? Does anyone have that information yet? Or is it going to be longer like the Ford and Chevy 3/4 tons?

You can tell from the pic it's gonna be BIG. I like it! Unfortunately, they're putting that ***-ugly Dakota style front end on the Ram in 2006. So the Mega Cab is gonna be FUGLY.

The size of the cab looks nice.

When someone knows the overall length of the truck, please post ASAP.

i thought the redesign for the front end was only on the 1500. this is why i wanted to get an 06 2500. if the redesign is across the board i just might have to look elsewhere for a truck. i just do not like that front end and i will not own a truck that looks like that. i am going to be optimistic and hope they don't copy the entire look and just borrow some styling cues.

I hadn't heard that... I would love it if they only change the 1500, but I don't see them doing that just from a cost standpoint. It's a TON cheaper to just run one body style. The update information is elsewhere on this board. Here's the link-

Well, the local Dodge dealer tells me, based on what they know now, it should be about 1"-2" longer than the current F250 CrewCab; about 245" to 247" long. Um it would have to sit outside, oh well.

Exactly why I didn't consider waiting on the '06. These trucks cost too much to be leaving outside all the time.

That new Ram picture (red in the distance shot) looks WAY too much like a duhKOTA . Somebody PLEASE tell me it will look okay! I am having enough trouble getting an urge to buy from the Germans even with the 6.1 and a 6 speed auto. If it is ugly, that kills it for me........
