Hey guys

I have a 2002 Ram 1500 and was wonder how to paint my dash? the part I was to paint is the front dash piece around the clock and AC ***** but i dont know how to get it off or if I need to sand it and such

Yes, you will need to take it off, to prevent overspray around the rest of the truck, there is a screw right behind the little hook that has to come out, then it just pulls away, also disoconnect the power from the cigarette lighter and it comes free. And yes you have to sand it, you will probably have to go to your auto paint store and talk to them about how to properly prep it since it has a texture to it, you'll probably have to buy something to promote adhesion to the plastic texture.

 

If you succed in getting this done let me know how you got on,i saw some interior paint jobs in the sport truck mag and they look class.

 

im very interested in this too, wanna give my interior some white accents to match the outside. painting it would be pretty cool. post pics of that whenever you get it done.
